We offer custom powder coating for motorcycles, lawn furniture, metal bedroom furniture, Nerf bars, vehicle rims, valve covers, car and truck bumpers and a whole lot more. GEICO’s Bikers for Tykes & Troops Motorcycle Rally will rock Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– The fifth annual Bikers for Tykes & Troops Motorcycle Rally and Concerts, sponsored by GEICO Powersports, is rocking the area for a good cause April 9 – 11. A parade of bikes for the USO Freedom Ride, band performances, pro wrestling demonstrations, and contests will benefit Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and the USO of Hampton Roads.

Highlights of the three-day event at KOA Kampgrounds include:

* Friday, April 9: The Mike Proffitt Band with special guest Suburban Key Party.
* Saturday, April 10: A new 2008 Harley-Davidson XL883 will be given away to a participant in Saturday’s Freedom Ride. Musical performances include national country artist, Lee Brice, Tailgate Down and David Cynar.
* Sunday, April 11: “Best bike” contest, poker run, and a performance by Rock Star Parking with special guest Bullwinkle.

Proceeds from the event will go to the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD) and the USO of Hampton Roads. CHKD serves the medical and surgical needs of children throughout Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and northeastern North Carolina. The USO of Hampton Roads provides morale, welfare and recreation programs for uniformed personnel and their families in the Hampton Roads community.

Officers On Motorcycles To Patrol Va Interstates

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) ― Law enforcement officers on motorcycles will be out on interstates in southeast Virginia this week to crack down on speeding and other violations.

The Motor Enforcement, Accident Reduction effort, referred to as Project M.E.A.R., will include officers from Virginia State Police along with the Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach police departments. The Portsmouth Sheriff’s Office also is participating.

Throughout the year, law-enforcement agencies work together on projects to increase enforcement on roads, track down people wanted on warrants and to identify criminal activity in undercover operations.
