A local motorcycle club is sponsoring a fundraising event for the Free Clinic of Franklin County.
The Blue Knights of Virginia Chapter XVIII (the Franklin County Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club) is sponsoring Free Wheelin’ for the Free Clinic, a new poker run.
The event will be held Saturday, April 24. Cost per rider is $10 and cars are welcome.
Proceeds will be donated to help the Free Clinic of Franklin County rev up its building fund campaign.

VFW Post 8169 Poker Run to support Combat Veterans – April 10, 2010

On Saturday April 10, 2010, VFW Post 8169 will be holding its 2nd Annual Poker Run to benefit local area Combat Veterans and their families.
100% of all money raised will go directly to the myriad of programs we manage that assists veterans, their families, widows and orphans in our community.
The Post is located 2 miles East of Scottsville on Route 6 in Fluvanna County. Registration starts at 8:30 am. Cost will be $20.00 per rider, which includes a free meal. The ride will be approximately 100 miles.

Looking for a morning ride full of fun, hauntingly good stories, Hooters, and more?
Join the Capital Cruisers for a Poker Run Saturday, October 24. First bike out leaves the University Mall Parking Lot at 10:30, last bike out at noon. We will end at the Hooters in Woodbridge for food, fun, and prizes for best hand, worst hand, and best costume! (remember – keep costumes out of the wheels, away from pipes, and safe for riding 
Just $15 per rider ($10 for passengers), will help support the fight against cancer. A fight that some of our members, friends, and family have fought over the years. All vehicles welcome!

SHERRI PARKER MEMORIAL POKER RUN & BIKE SHOW

This Driver Village tradition is a TAMA sponsored ride benefiting the Sherri Parker Memorial Fund and the Driver Volunteer Fire Department.
A $20 donation per person includes a complimentary t-shirt for the first 250 registrants. Poker Run registration is from 9:30am until 11am at Bayside Harley Davidson in Portsmouth and Knuckleheads Road House in Virginia Beach.
Parade of bikes will stage at Sleepy Hole Park in Suffolk at 12:30pm prior to ride into Driver at 1pm. Bike Show Registration 12pm-2pm in Driver Village. Door prizes and vendors. Rain date: Sunday, November 1, 2009. Contact Holly Hoffler for more information at (757) 538-3944.
