As a result of the hard work of the MRF, Congressman Mark Green and Congressman Leonard Boswell have written a letter to the conferees of the TEA Conference Committee, urging the conferees to support the motorcycle safety language in the House passed version of the Highway Reauthorization bill.
I urge you to call your Congressman and request that he/she sign onto this letter. Letters and emails won’t be timely enough. Please call as quickly as possible. Below you’ll find the list and phone numbers for all the members of Congress for the state of Virginia. Don’t know who your Congressman is? Go to www.house.gov and enter your zip code.
If your Congressman is not available when you call, ask to speak to the legislative aid concerning the Transportation Equity Act (TEA). Let the Congressman or aid know that you are a constituent and are requesting that he/she sign the Green/Boswell letter to show support for the motorcycle safety language in the House passed version of the Highway Reauthorization Bill.
The two or three minutes this call takes could make the difference in getting this most important bill passed.
