VIP Motorcycle Cover Review
August 1, 2008 by Hersey · 2 Comments
The guys over at EmpireCovers.com sent me one of their VIP Motorcycle Covers and asked me to check it out. Now just so you guys know I do not use a cover, I have a garage and besides that my bike hardly sets still long enough to be covered. I know there are a lot of folks out there that either do not have a garage or store their bike over the winter, the VIP cover would be a great product for you folks.
Even though I do not personally use a cover on my bike I would recommend the Empire Covers VIP Motorcycle Cover to anyone looking for a cover to protect or store their bike.
Bullet Proof BDL Belt Drive Starter Fix
Wasn’t really a problem, more of an annoyance. I love my BDL 3″ open belt drive that I installed on my Heritage. I like the look of it, the sound of the clutch plates clanking together, and the sound of the belt whirling around the pulleys at speed – it is bad ass.
The only real problem I have had is that from time to time I would go to start her and when I hit the starter button the starter would just spin. How often this happened usually depended on the number of folks watching. Not really a big deal, rock the belt a bit, hit the button agian and she starts right up. Like I said it is not really a problem, just an annoyance.

Easyboy Clutch Assist Installation

Note: Using these instructions I was able to install the Easyboy Clutch Assist in both my stock Harley Davidson 5-speed transmission and in my RevTech 6 speed tranny.
If you do a lot of in-town riding you may find yourself using your clutch ALOT. If your bike is like mine “was” at times you get off and feel like your left forearm is getting one hell of a work out. If so the “Easy Boy” Lite Clutch by White Brothers is what you need.

Looking for an inxpensive and easy way to give your scoot a custom “old school” look? Try wrapping your pipes with exhaust header wrap. Perhaps your pipes are blue or scratched but other than that they function fine – why spend the money on a new set of pipes for the look when wrapping them will give them an awesome look for a fraction of the cost of new pipes. Battery Charger Quick Connect
For years I have been using a Battery Tender to keep my scoots battery charged and ready when I am not riding. Since we have more than one scoot there is almost always one connected to the tender. About two weeks ago the battery tender went south after over 6 good years of reliable service.
If you are looking for a great and affordable charger to maintain your bikes battery then I highly recommend one of these little Battery Tenders.
