Two Great Rides… One Great Cause!
On Saturday, August 27th, we will ride to remember Lt. Commander Joe Rodriguez, a great American hero. His career started as a rescue swimmer saving lives, then off to officer’s school to lead others. He then led the DEA through the rivers of South America to fight the war on drugs and was featured on the TV show “COPS” for one of the largest drug busts in history. He then led law enforcement teams in Miami to continue the war on drugs, trained Marines in Jacksonville and law enforcement teams in Yorktown, VA, after which he founded the first anti-terrorism team in the Coast Guard. Joe (“Cuervo” to his biker friends) served as the State Charter VP for the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club in Virginia.
Joe fought his toughest battle with brain cancer for almost two years before being called home. Being a long time biker, soldier and Karate black belt, Joe never gave up the battle and we were all behind him in every way. Let’s show our support as friends, fellow servicemen, bikers and as anyone who would like to honor the memory of a man who dedicated his life to keeping America safe and free. All proceeds will be donated to the college trust funds for his two boys, Joey (8) and David (4).
