Bikers wash up for WRAMC – May 7, 2011

May 2, 2011 by

Woodbridge, VA – The Capital Cruisers, a local motorcycle club, has partnered with Coleman PowerSports and Hooters of Woodbridge to raise money for a BBQ at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC).

Saturday, May 7, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., the Capital Cruisers will be serving up hot dogs and cold drinks to folks getting their bikes washed by our very own Hooters Girls at Coleman’s PowerSports on Telegraph Road.

Proceeds from the bike wash will a barbeque for WRAMC patients and their families being held in July.

“The Capital Cruisers enjoy giving back to our community and our Service members,” said Bill Garvin, president and Navy veteran. “This was one way we could directly help our troops that have given us so much.”

The support of Coleman PowerSports and Hooters has been vital to the success of this event.

Coleman PowerSports is giving all bike wash customers an extra 10% off all parts and accessory purchases that day. “Coleman PowerSports is happy to do whatever we can to assist motorcycle clubs with their charitable fundraisers,” according to Kim Harrison, general manager.

This will also be the first chance for local motorcycle enthusiasts to join the free Hooters Bike Club. Hooters Bike Club members get 10% off food anytime and 20% during motorcycle events – including Thursday Bike Nights.

The Capital Cruisers is a local club that enjoys camaraderie and every back road from Fairfax to Richmond. You can find out more at
